Given how hard it is to find good Mexican in New York, this place was an unexpected surprise, not to mention that the prices were ludicrously reasonable by NY standards. I got the blackened swordfish torta and it blew me away. The margaritas were good too. The Bodega Surprise cocktail was a little sweet for my taste, but also very enjoyable.
Excellent. Loved the guacamole with chips app, and the mushroom tacos were delicious. Also, fish tacos delicious, and the margarita was fab.
I recently dined at Bodega for a special birthday dinner, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations without being intrusive. The manager Lexi was present every step of the way making sure we were having the upmost lovely experience. Overall, Bodega exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!
Amazing margaritas And tacos ! Enjoyed the Americano and Argentino tacos. For drinks I got the pomarita and rosarita ! Everything was delicious and atmosphere was great. Music selection was on point too. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely we back if In The area :)
Came here for Thursdays happy hour and the place just started to get busy. The VIBE is on point with a great selection of old school R&B music. Not to mention the staff are VERY friendly and personable. The happy hour cocktails are a great mix of fruity and refreshing goodness. We got the americano, argentino, cochinita pibil and ya mon tacos!! Americano: can’t go wrong with the basic beef taco 9/10 Argentino: steak with cilantro and a yummy sauce 8/10 Cochinita pibil: slow pulled pork with onions and cilantro 10/10, my favorite Ya mon: The combo between the sweet plantains and savory jerk chicken with the crispy kale was 9/10
If you aren’t going here you have something wrong with you, this place has the best atmosphere, servers, bartenders and food. If you’re a steak guy get the steak and have it cooked at most medium rare. The bartender dyl is the most genuine person, very personable and just overall a top G
Been coming here since it opened but hadn't been in a while because, now, I live 90 miles away. Given the Mexican we have in Mystic, Bodega Taco Bar is well worth the drive. It's still fantastic! From the not-too-sweet Margaritas to the genuine tasting and always super high quality food, this ex-San Diego boy rates BTB an easy 5 stars. P. S. the guac is fantastic and the chips are superlative.
Everything about this place is amazing, I came across this place by accident, brought my friends and now it’s our go to spot for happy hour and a bite of food. The environment is amazing, super chill with top service. The food and omg the margaritas! So many varieties can’t go wrong with any. Whether you sit at the bar or a table you will get amazing service. Also everyone is so nice!!!! I’ve never had a place where I’m a regular but this place is my regular and I go as much as I can!
